1. Introduction
VOLTA Dash (the "App") is an electric-motorcycle dashboard simulator that provides simulated readouts — speed, motor RPM, power flow, battery, range, motor temperature — and a real-time synthesized engine soundtrack. The App is for simulation and entertainment only. Its readouts and sounds are not a reference for any real vehicle; do not rely on it while riding.
The App has no accounts and integrates no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs; we run no servers, and all of your data stays on your device where we cannot access it. Subscription payments go through the store's in-app purchase channel; payment details are handled by the store under its own policies — we never collect or store payment information.
This policy explains what information the App handles, how it is handled locally, and your rights. Before using the App, please read this policy carefully, especially the bolded parts. By tapping "AGREE & CONTINUE" on first launch, you are deemed to have read and accepted this policy in full.
2. Information We Process
The App only involves the following information after you enable the corresponding feature and grant permission. Other than the items below, the App collects no other personal information.
(1) Location Information (Optional Feature, Permission Required)
- Type: precise location, coarse location
- Purpose: in "GPS speed" control mode, compute live speed from Doppler velocity and display it on the dashboard
- When: only when you switch the control mode to "GPS speed" and grant system location permission
- How: no upload, no sharing with any third party — location is used only in memory to compute live speed, and acquisition stops immediately when you switch to another control mode or exit the App. For diagnostics, frame-quality logs (including latitude/longitude) may be written to the App's private directory on this device only; they are deleted when you uninstall the App or revoke consent
- Permission timing: the system location permission is requested the first time you enter "GPS speed" mode. You may decline; only GPS speed mode becomes unavailable and everything else keeps working. Live speed relies on precise location (Doppler velocity), hence the fine-location permission
(2) Device Sensor Data (Accelerometer, Part of GPS Speed Mode)
- Type: linear acceleration readings (gravity component removed)
- Purpose: launch compensation in "GPS speed" mode — at the very start of a ride, before Doppler speed updates, acceleration is integrated to estimate the speed and stand in for the displayed value
- How: read only while GPS speed mode is running, processed in memory on this device in real time; never uploaded, never written to storage, and no logs are generated; reading stops when you switch to another control mode or the App goes to the background
(3) Locally Stored Preferences
- Content: your in-app preferences (language, control mode, sound, dashboard face, motor rated power, top speed, edge-fit offsets and icon spacing) and the privacy-consent record
- Storage: in the App's private storage area on this device (system standard key-value storage), never uploaded
- Retention: until you uninstall the App or restore defaults in the App
3. Information We Do Not Collect
The App does not collect or involve: account information such as phone numbers, device identifiers (IMEI / OAID / IDFA / MAC address), IP address, contacts, photo library, camera, microphone, SMS or call records, installed-app lists, or other personal information defined by applicable law.
The App's only network access is the store's in-app purchase channel (subscription billing and entitlement checks — this is what the Android INTERNET permission is for). It never connects to any developer or third-party server, so there is no channel for your data to leave the device.
4. How We Use Information
The information above is used only to implement the corresponding dashboard features, entirely on your device. None of it is used for user profiling, algorithmic recommendation, advertising, or analytics.
5. Sharing, Transfer, and Public Disclosure
(1) Sharing: the App integrates no third-party analytics, advertising, or push SDKs and shares no information with any third party (the store's in-app purchase channel excepted — see the VOLTA Dash Third-Party Sharing List).
(2) Transfer: the App transfers no information.
(3) Public disclosure: the App publicly discloses no information.
Except where otherwise provided by law, or where required by judicial or administrative authorities through statutory procedures.
6. Storage of Information
All data is stored only on your device:
- Location and sensor data are processed in real time and never uploaded; diagnostic logs remain only in the App's private directory on this device and are deleted on uninstall or revocation of consent;
- Preferences are stored locally until you uninstall the App or restore defaults.
We have no servers and cannot access any of your data. After you uninstall the App, all local data is deleted by the system's uninstall mechanism.
7. Your Rights
- Permission management: revoke the App's location permission in system settings at any time;
- Withdrawal of consent: tap "Restore defaults (revoke consent)" in the in-app Settings to erase all locally stored settings (including the consent record) and return to the consent screen;
- Deletion: uninstalling the App deletes all local data;
- Account termination: the App has no accounts, so no account termination applies.
8. Permissions

The App requests no other system permissions (no network, camera, microphone, storage, or phone).
9. Minors
The App contains no social, transactional, or advertising features. Minors should use the App with a guardian's consent and guidance.
10. Updates to This Policy
When this policy materially changes, the first-launch consent screen will reappear in the App showing the full policy for your renewed consent. Updates will never expand the scope of information processing without your consent.
